Lions are known as the kings of the jungle because of their superiority over other predators and as the most fearsome animal on the planet. There are only a few animals that can defeat a lion.
A full-grown male is about 1.8–2.1 meters (6–7 feet) long, excluding the 1-meter tail, and weighs 170–230 kg (370–500 pounds). They rule the jungle, but kings have enemies and can be defeated too. This animal could easily defend itself from a lion and even a group of lions. The hippo has enormous teeth that can crush a lion with one bite. They are fairly aggressive, hippos are very strong and fast to attack a lion. Also, they are way heavier than lions.
A crocodile can kill a lion when the lion comes close to it in watery areas. Nobody can win against a crocodile in the water. Its strong teeth can crunch a lion, if the crocodile is able to bite the lion the crocodile always wins.
It has one of the strongest bites in the animal kingdom and tends to drag its prey into the water and spin it until it drowns.

A giraffe can kick in any direction and in a manner of ways, and its kick can kill a lion. The giraffe’s legs are incredibly powerful, each supplemented with a 12-inch (30cm) hoof. Their kick can generate a force of 2000 pounds per square inch.
Its kick may break bones or even worse in a one-on-one fight a lion has no match with the giraffe. A giraffe is so very tall that a lion can never ever reach its throat for a bite it would take a whole pride to take down a giraffe.
Well, after all the animals that can defeat a lion on the list, this might come as surprise to you but a single porcupine can take down a lion. A porcupine is not an aggressive animal but when provoked they will charge back to defend themselves from predators.
Only those inexperienced lions would attempt to attack a porcupine not knowing how dangerous it would be for them. Porcupines have a very dangerous defense mechanism that is known to kill not just lions but leopards as well.
Once they feel threatened the porcupine will raise their quills in a defensive position and the quills will then penetrate the skin of the lion and then the barbs will hold the quill on the lion’s skin the quill will release from the porcupine’s body and stay attached to the lion this will cause tremendous pain to the lion and can even be the cause of its death.
